How many feet do you use to drive?

It supposedly said that the proper way to drive and the unwritten rule is using one foot and you switch between the pedals, but some people drive with two feet with one on each pedal, I get that for driving manual, you need both feet but do you know anyone that drives an automatic with both feet? Lol

For an automatic, you use one foot. For a manual, you use two feet. For a grain truck, double-clutching with a 7-speed manual and a two speed rear, it's all hands on deck!

No, I did that as a kid on the farm. So it was a 14 speed, but you had to step on the clutch twice, between gears. Back then I thought it was tons of fun. And cutting hay with the tractor... don't even get me started. lol
But for you, unless you really want a sports car, just get the automatic. Simple is good.

Both feet for manual cars, right foot only for automatic cars, with the foot only for the parking brake (where applicable). I can also attest to the danger that it creates, when you forget that you are in an automatic car and use the left foot to "press the clutch"...

I fairly often brake with my left foot when driving with an automatic transmission, never, of course, when driving a manual.
I don't always, but if it feels right to me, I do so.

I wonder why some people make an issue of the practice.

For manual, it's just necessary duh

For automatic, it just shortens your reaction time which is good

Primarily my right foot. Sometimes I use my left foot just to exercise my motor skills and if I'm on a crazy steep hill or driving stick then both feet become involved
