Geography TRIVIA - Name the STRUCTURE and its LOCATION (Vol 8)?

Continuing the reboot of Geography questions that were fairly popular...

Every day, I'll try to post a picture of a Structure somewhere in the World. Your task is to name the Structure and its Location, at least the Country... bonus points for being more specific. The answer will be given the next day.

This is intended to be fun, so after two hard questions, this should be an easy one, as promised.

If you have the right answer, you get a Like. If you have the funniest answer, right or wrong, you get a MHO, one for girls, one for guys. If no one has a funny answer, then the best answer gets a MHO, one for girls, one for guys.

Here is a picture of the eighth (Vol 8) Structure. Please try to name it and tell where it is located. Bonus: Can you name the river? Have you ever walked/ridden/driven across it?

As an American, I'm not used to driving on the left,. most of the time, you just follow the traffic One time in London, I was returning to my hotel late at night (around 2am) and had to cross the bridge. Without thinking, and no traffic to follow, I made a right turn into the right lane and immediately saw a pair of headlights coming at me. I quickly changed lanes, as the black cab driver shook his fist at me and yelled "Stupid American!"

This is Tower Bridge, in London England, spanning the Thames. It is a bascule bridge, where the two halves of the roadway swing up to allow large ships to pass. There are two walkways that can be used for pedestrians to cross, even when the bridge is open for river traffic.

This is not London Bridge, which is located a few miles upriver, to the west.. It was disassembled and moved to Lake Havasu City Arizona, and replaced with a new bridge. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Bridge

Have you taken a Thames River cruise that passes underneath the Tower Bridge in London?

When the roadway is drawn up as far as it can go, the loud clanking sounds add to chills I get when I look directly up as the ship glides underneath.

I had imagined cables snapping and the roadway slamming straight down on us.

Maybe, next time, I'll try the walking tour instead.

Why is Thames pronounced Tems and not th-aims

Fun fact. They walk a flock of sheep over it yearly in order to keep the legal right to do so on the books. It's my ambition to run a few hundred sheep over during rush hour traffic just to piss everyone off.

Yes you are mistaken. Legend has it a rich American bought London Bridge thinking he was buying Tower Bridge (pictured) America has always denied it was a mistake and its only a myth but nobody buys that bollocks.

Yeah, I was in Barbados and a car almost hit our bus head-on. The drivers said they're trained to look out for American tourists on the roads. 😂

I remember reading that Winston Churchill got ran over in the US, because he got confused when looking both sides before crossing the road.

Funny, my friend took me to London and this is the Tower Bridge and I crossed it to go see the Crown jewels and walked across the London Bridge in Lake Havasu partying there. I think the new London Bridge is just down stream if I remember 🤔

@Kayleigh2005 Very nice! Yes, the new London Bridge is a few miles farther west from Tower Bridge, technically upriver.

@exitseven London Bridge WAS moved to Lake Havasu City Arizona, and a replacement in London was built.. The picture is NOT London Bridge.
