Because of how fast AI is progressing and tech being implemented into our daily lives, when do you expect the singularity, or when AI and technological progress become uncontrollable, to likely occur?

The AI still has a shit ton of hallucinations and produces bullshit information. The AI is still pretty stupid.

People were talking bragging about how self-driving cars were going to take over 9 years ago and the technology is still piss poor and you need a human in the car to correct the driving mistakes.

The AI is not advancing fast it's mostly shit. A lot of tech company CEOs tend to overexaggerate the progress of AI like Jensen Huang mainly because people buy his chips to process AI. Huang also said you don't need to learn to code because AI will do it in the future.

As I mention at before AI hallucinates all the time and you need a human who understands code to correct the information. After the basic coding task the AI becomes mostly useless and it is up to the coder to figure it out. It won't be advanced enough for a good 100 years. The AI is mostly over hyped marketing like the self-driving cars they were hyping up 9 years ago. A truck can be self-driving, but if it enters a state or location where self-driving trucks are not allow a human will have to take over.

Samething with Elon Musk and his SpaceX plan to start building a self-sustaining city on Mars. It's just to get you to buy a product or invest into it. Musk said he would have humans on Mars by 2026 when most of the Starship flights have failed.

2040s, but as we near closer, it'll speed up, so that's kind of hard to nail down. Quantum Computing will really be the game changer.
