We should get him together with the morons who say the world will be on fire in less than 12 years. They said that 5 years ago, so it should happen within a year of THIS doomsday prediction.

A bunch of people thought the world would end in 2012 because according to the Mayan calendar, that's all she wrote. Spoiler Alert: didn't happen.

Then there were the Hale-Bopp comet doomsdayers. They thought the world would end in 1997. It did end--but only for them (they killed themselves).

Paul Erhlich warned us that hundreds of millions of people would starve to death in the 1970s due to overpopulation and that the world would suffer complete ecological collapse by the year 2000. None of that happened either.

Basically, there have been complete fucking morons who have been predicting the end of the world since pretty much forever. Some of them are more looney (Hale-Bopp, buying into the Mayan thing) and some tried to wrap themselves in the mantle of "THE SCIENCE!" But all of them were 100% hokum.
