It was said because of its size, they fucked up when they challenged God on it tho, as you can see, they were wrong, didn't even take a lightning bolt or anything fancy, just a giant piece of ice that didn't even have to be moved, kinda over hyped ship if you ask me 💀

Because it was very big and they were doing full speed to new York even though they were warned of icebergs in the area. Although ww1 proved that any ship can be sunk with a torpedo even today with missiles.

It was because it had large watertight compartments that could be sealed off if breached.

Might not be accurate, but in the movie they said the water spills over the top and over into the next one. So much for water tight.

Yeah, the iceburg ripped a horizontal line across several of these compartments. I also read that the steel composition was not safe for the cold water temperatures it sunk in. Very brittle not malleable enough apparently.
