Do you remember when Walmart sold live fish?

I still have a fancy goldfish that was purchased right before my Walmart stopped selling live fish.

And they we're cheaper then pet stores like Petco. Paid $3 for my fancy goldfish at Walmart, while Petco I paid $7 for a fancy goldfish.

No, I've never seen goldfish at Walmart only at Woolworths and the fish 🐠 would jump out of the thank and be flailing around on the floor and some were dead. I was just a young girl and that used to make me sick 🤢 to my stomach watching them.

That sounds awful, Woolworths should have been reported for animal cruelty, even though they are just fish, they each have their own personality (mine does) and can experience pain and suffering. Some Walmart's didn't sell live fish, so that's probably why you never seen fish at your local Walmart.

I remember it so often as the petsmart where i buy supplies from is next to a Walmart which I frequent often. Walmart was a lot cheaper too. Kinda miss the convenience of it

Yep, my local Walmart had fancy goldfish for $3 where they were/are $7 at Petco.

Omg yes... of course they only stayed alive a few days after they gor. home, but I loved visiting them!

If they only stayed alive a few days after getting them home, either they were sick before purchasing them or they weren't taken care of. Wouldn't surprise me they were sick before purchasing them. I still have a fancy goldfish I purchased at Walmart, he's almost 6 years old.

We took care of them, fish from the pet stores always lived, just not Walmaet fish lol

Then they were sick before you bought them. From post I've seen on reddit, some Walmart's took good care of their fish, others not so much. Your just unluckily that your Walmart was one of the ones that didn't take care of their fish. My rule of thumb when purchasing a new fish, is put it in a quarantine tank, that way if it's sick, it doesn't infect the other fish.
