Actually yes, but my modem has a built-in firewall which makes it more difficult to hack my router. At the end of the day, your device is only secure as the person using it, though a good security can help mitigate some of the security flaws with the user.

I use the firewall I got from the ISP. I sometimes think about making it more secure. Maybe now that I am retired I will get a better grade firewall.
