With so many brick and mortar stores closing down, and shopping online & getting your package stolen, where can we shop anymore?

It seems like almost every day now that our favorite stores we were used to going shopping aren't there anymore. I am finding it very hard to know where to buy things I need anymore.
Shopping online is getting dangerous because once the company has your debit or credit card number, they can do a lot of damage to your bank account and your life!
This has happened to me over the past few months. A company that I bought some inexpensive items from went crazy with my debit card and wiped out my bank account!😔
They were very cunning and sent me all kinds of merchandise that I didn't order! Like 18 wireless Bluetooth keyboards!! And big bags filled with things I didn't order.
I tried to refuse them when they were delivered but they wouldn't do that.
The packages came everyday one after another.
This company doesn't have a telephone number to call, and if you go on their chat to complain, it's a one way chat - they don't have any place for the customer to type out anything and send it to them. 🙃
If they leave your package 📦 at the door they are usually stolen.

They are building like crazy in Florida, not closing down. Nobody steals my packages either. In fact, I've had a package wrongly delivered to someone on another street before and they took the time out of their day to drive it over to my house themselves and deliver it to me just to be a good neighbor.

I was reading about some stores that are closing and Best Buy was on the list.

wow I did not hear about that, I hardly goin there but it is one of the few places left where you can buy electronic stuff.

It said the reason was because of Circuit City stores.
Remember Radio Shack? I miss that store too 😔

Circuit City has been gone for years. We had one in town.

I’m thankful we do not have porch pandas. I live in a condo so smaller things get dropped in our lock boxes while larger items get sent to the concierge until we can grab them.

Get a post office box. It can be inconvenient going there to pick up your mail, but at least it doesn't get stolen.

That is why that I don’t use my debit card for purchases. Unless absolutely necessary.
My credit card alerts me when a transaction is charged against it in a matter of seconds. Plus you can dispute charges.

I had a credit card for 20 years. Was never late with a payment, and never overextended on purchases.
Then I had a zero balance when COVID-19 hit, and my credit card was cancelled, I think because they knew people were going to overextend their credit card.
I was shocked when I received the letter in the mail informing me that I no longer had my credit card.💳 It carried only 10% interest rate and I will never see that again!
Recently I applied for a credit card because I had used my debit card and a company scammed me and wiped out my bank account so fast that I couldn't do anything about it.
I was approved for a credit card after all of these years and will only be using my credit card for purchases.
I had been using my debit card for years and nothing bad even happened, until this one company were professional scammers and knew how to scam me before I could do anything about it.
This company that scammed me has advertisements everyday on YouTube, so I thought they were o. k. to buy from.
