If you disappeared, how long would it take for someone to call the police or a relative/friend to try and figure out where youve gone?

I was watching this true crime thing with my mom, and this guy just disappeared (he was randomly murdered). His co-workers immediately called the police because the guy had never missed a day of work and by all accounts, had plans, like always, to come to work the next day.

I told my mom, you would 100% call by the afternoon. I remember I was visiting, and went to pick up some food, and was like an hour late because the place was packed, and she was already leaving 3 messages like where are you, are you okay. When I travel, I always have to call at the airport, on the plane, when I land, when I'm in the cab. To some that might seem like too much, but I like knowing that someone out there is worried about me and wanting to make sure I'm okay, even as a grown a-- adult.

What about you? Who do you think would call and inquire with the police or your family/friends if you disappeared, and how long do you think it would take them to do so?
