That I have bodysurfed The Wedge (in Newport Beach, CA) since I was 14. Most girls either can't or won't. My brother's girlfriend and I were right in the thick of it, right along with the guys.

  Only if you're a strong swimmer and can hold your breath for a good couple of minutes. Or just pick a place where the waves are no more than 3-4 feet on that day... and have fun! A boogie board is a really fun way to ride the waves and keeps your head above water, too. I hope you get to do it some time. Do you swim much?

  I have done boogie boarding a bit. It was a it of fun!
  I don’t swim much currently but I have been thinking of getting a membership somewhere with a pool because other forms of cardio are taking a toll on my knees

  Yeah, gotta pay attention to the knees. Swimming is such a good all over exercise. And I like that swimmer's bodies are so toned without being bulky, both women and men. I really don't like working out, but I'll jump in the water anytime and it never feels like a work out. There's just something so soothing about it.

  @LiamJHayden Yeah, broken necks and backs bc of the shore break. I've almost drowned there twice, but it hasn't stopped me. I wish they didn't allow boards there though. I hear they didn't used to. It was just bodysurfing. Have you surfed it?
