It sounds good on paper but the government cannot control wholesale prices. There is something Trump can do to fix the supply chain issues and he can reduce taxes on certain things like fuel but he has to do just what Joe Biden did only in reverse. Make America net energy exporters and make oil less expensive and then fuel prices will drop and when that happens the price of most other goods and service will begin to go down. The problem is that retailers are always reluctant to lower their prices. They will just keep the extra money as a bonus. It will take a while for this to happen and it will never be as low as it was 4 years ago
