A lot of people say that nice and kind people are weak. People take advantage of them. Do you think this is true?

As per your update, I don't think they're are weaker. Maybe when we're younger and inexperienced, but as soon as we learn to stand our ground, we won't let anyone walk over us. Learning to say 'no' in the right context is something that can be acquired.

People who are nice and kind are not weak at all. They are confident, caring people who don’t feel the need to be a jerk.

It takes tremendous strength to be nice and kind. We should all strive to be that strong. It is easy to hit back and lash out, especially at people who are liers and cheaters and insecured. I avoid toxic people like that.

I have experienced my caregiver telling me that I am only being nice to her because I want something from her. Nothing could be further than the truth.
So after she said that and I would give her things I saw at the store that I thought she would like, I would tell her that I didn't give this to you because I want something from you.
I said this to her repeatedly until finally she realized that I am a very nice and thoughtful person.
I guess she hadn't experienced being around nice people in her life, like it was something she didn't know about.
