Do you hate cooking somedays?

Yeah, sometimes you come home after a long day at work, and all you really wanna do is eat (but not cook) and vegetate.

I hate cooking always... just not my thing. But its a necessary evil.

I'm really good at cooking. I don't mind it if I want something cooked to eat. That said I'm not all that particular when it comes to eating. I can survive on many things and still be happy. Like I could could a nice pasta dinner like I did last night, but if I didn't want to cook I would be just as happy eating half a box of raw pasta right out of the box like they were potato chips. I'd still get my calories but I wouldn't have to work for flavor.

I actually miss it but that is because I can’t cook much in my dorm with limited appliances we can have. I have to eat on campus mostly.

Not that it is bad. We have lots of good food options.

How is food on campus nowadays? I'm glad I wasn't in school when I became a cooking nerd. I would have lost it. I really like cooking unless I'm sick.

@Friendlybro79 it’s actually really good. There are choices of different “restaurants” at the different halls.

It isn’t the old assembly line cafeteria like my parents said they had. It is more like get a to go order from a local place.

Ha that's what we had. I'm prob their age or close. I'm glad to hear it's good. I grew up with a chef in my family so I remember the cafeteria being terrible.

Yeah, that is pretty much a thing of the past, I guess. Different halls have different “restaurants”. Some are school provided and others are actual companies.

Hell, we have Starbucks a couple places in the food halls.

That's awesome. I'm glad to hear this. Eating right really helps the brain think right. Thanks for sharing. I don't like assuming stuff based on how it was for me in the 1900s (as my little nephews say lol)

Sure… it takes time and energy… sometimes it doesn’t come out welll… so let the exper do the cooking sometimes…

I enjoy cooking. It’s therapeutic and even if it’s just my wife and me, I usually make the same effort as for a group.

I get tired of it sometimes. I cook at least 3-4 times a day for my kids. I enjoy it most of the time. Especially when they are helping me cook.

Only when I'm sick. I really enjoy cooking. It takes my mind off of work stuff.
