Why do guys play games to make you want them more?

Immaturity, mostly. Although I will say, sometimes more mature guys will do things to prompt women to respond to see what they do.

That's not really a game or test, per se. It's more like just making sure that they're both on the same page. Sometimes women get really locked into their own heads and they forget to participate in their relationships with men.

Just recently, I was chatting with a lady for a while, and she suddenly got withdrawn and distant. So after a month of that sort of behavior, I asked her girlfriend for the friend's phone number just to see what would happen.

The lady I'm interested in perked right up and started getting friendly and flirty again.

No. Because when you play games you're risking losing the person. The point is to get them to see that you could walk away.

Some people want to play games instead of building a genuine connection it’s not all guys and these guys deserve it when the only women who want them is the ones who also play games.

Some people can’t build normal relationships. So they play hot and cold. They play hard to get. They like sending mixed signals. They like being vague jusr Whatever games they play and act all surprised when someone just moves on. They like it it’s thrilling to mess with someone else’s emotions.

They think it will work, personally I never considered it a viable tactic. I had much more success being honest than I ever think i'd have trying to manipulate her. Maybe it works for sex and its all those guys care about, but for anything serious her liking you for who you are instead of manipulating her to like you is very important.

I think a certain amount of manipulation is common in both sexes at the early stages of a relationship. Some are as benign as wanting to spare feelings, some are manipulative to obtain goals without any empathy to thier partner. It's not strictly a male. or female issue. It's more a power imbalance in the relationship. In some cases it is psychological pathology. In any case if someone makes you feel bad and doesn't care... get away. It never ends well.
