Do guys intentionally ‘play games’ too?

So I always hear about girls playing games, as a girl i have never intentionally done this (maybe it’s why im incredibly single and end up coming off too strong🤣) but I do two girls that have used certain ‘tactics’ to get a guy to pay more interest in them. Like leaving someone on read for hours and flirting with other guys to make their crush jealous. I’m genuinely curious in (and it may help my dating life lol) if men intentionally do this as well or if they just don’t think too deeply about doing these things (long reply times and flirting with other people, blowing hot and cold etc). i’ve asked my few male friends but none of them have dated much since i’ve known them.

Your friends are giving you very bad advice for trying to get a man: if the guy you want sees you flirting with other guys he will quietly put you in the recreational use category and will fuck you but never offer you a real relationship; if you deliberately leave him on read he will assume you simply aren't that interested in him or are talking to a bunch of other dudes and will focus his efforts elsewhere.

Men don't really play games like this often but one thing guys will do especially if they have money is offer the first date as coffee or something cheap and simple to weed out gold diggers and foodie calls.

We rarely if ever 'play games' with women we actually like. If a guy does that to you, he doesn't respect you the way you're looking for. Period.

Also whoever told you that "flirting with other guys" or doing the hot and cold treatment makes us like you more is out of their damned mind. We hate that, and it makes you disposable.

Not really I've been tempted to test the extent of someone's friendship before but it always seems like a shitty manipulative thing to do to create fake parameters through which to measure loyalty, besides which it's purely born out of paranoia.

Mostly no. The only guys prone to playing games are the kind of guys for whom picking up women is effortless... and under those circumstances, they're just saying whatever gets results.

Personally I think it is reprehensible behaviour.
