Why is he nervous around me if he doesn’t fancy me?

He fidgets a lot with his hands, his voice sometimes breaks or goes weird and he acts generally awkward, however he’s friendly and laughs at my jokes and says I’m hilarious? He rejected me a few months ago… but he’s always been nervous around me or slightly awkward, even before he rejected me. He’s in his 40s by the way.

Is it possible he rejected you because of a social kind of pressure to be professional. Again? The guy is just weak.
