Why do some men text you, even though you don't reply?

There is this man who have been texting me a lot and first I didn't reply, then I was impressed by his consistency, because he was udating me about his life weekly and I wasn't even replying, but I got used to reading his texts, so one day I replied and since then sometimes I've been replying. He's very nice and an interesting person...

When I asked him , "Why do you like texting me, knowing I always reply late?"

"He answered, there's one thing about you consistency. You are always replying late but you are still replying. "

After a while he came back to my life and has started texting me again, It's been 2 weeks he's been texting every couple days or so, I haven't replied, as I am an awful texter. Have never have interest in texting, unless I am suuuper into someone. So, I feeel like finally replying to him. I just wonder why is he texting knowing I will reply ages later?

It's human nature. He is giving you unsolicited attention, consistently. Even though you don't care about this guy, you like the attention. If he suddenly stopped texting you, you would miss the easy attention and validation.

Having said that, he is a simp.

No.. you aren’t a aweful texter you are just a rude self absorbed person.. you know you have your phone in front of you 24/7.. we know you check social media, post on different channels watch shows, tic tok.. whatever.. on your phone. But you choose not to text back.. entitlement goes a long way.. and this guy is an idiot and and simp for continuing to text and putting up with that bullshit. I use to be that guy, then I realized I need to have more self-respect. So the moment I realize a person who I see all the time with the phone in front of them not messaging me back for days on end. It’s a wrap. Friendship will fall off. And he honestly needs to cut the dead weight. But simps will forever be weak and stupid.
