No preference because I'm 45 and receive replies in text in a way that understands that not everyone speaks the same text language. Like love language I've heard before.

Generationally speaking it's different and I respect that it's more specific for younger than me generations and also hope they understand I'm not up to speed with their interpretation yet. I'm trying to learn but it's a lot to remember for me. I dont think it terms of could this punctuation or this emoji offend someone by accident because I assume they know who I am as a person and would extend grace for my accidental ignorance. I don't mean universally (or close to universal) understood things
