Our stove. The range works, the broiler works, but the heating rod system for the oven burned out, and the replacement part is discontinued.
I’m taking care of my old man, it’s technically his stove, but he’s 93 and on his “I could die any day now” stuff when it comes to making any sort of long-term investment. And he already just by nature throws nickels around like manhole covers.
So I’ve just adjusted to not having it. I usually eat some form of broiled chicken, so I’m fine, but I used to make tenderloin steaks on the weekends, and would sear then finish in the oven. Had to switch to NY Strip Loin so I could keep it on the stovetop. Champagne problems, lmao.
But I think there’s a new AND used appliance place in town, I should actually go look into a used one.
I ❤️❤️❤️ ding n dent appliances!!! IDGAF what it looks like - does it work and is it cheaper?
@WhiteSteve Give this place a try. I have gotten parts for all my stoves and washing machines for many years.

@exitseven awesome, appreciate it!👍
Before i retired I spent a ton of money replacing everything that i thought might break. Once I started living on a fixed income I was concerned that maybe i could not afford it then. I replaced light fixtures, my sump pump, garage door openers and a ton of other stuff. We bought new appliances and even replaced our basement freezer.
Anyone who replaced a sewage sump pump gets a mho

Haha love that about the blinds!
In my house we have one big tv. And it's got lines down the middle of the screen. But meh.. I really don't watch tv all that much. I use it for music on YouTube. But does it matter its got the lines? I don't find them bothersome enough to want to stump up £300 for a new tv.
My daughters have PC's they use for gaming and watching stuff in their rooms.
if I can fix it (or get someone to fix it) then it works... and I keep fixing things till they stop working
if it's not working, it needs fixing... I might be stubborn, but not cheap... lol
Nothing household right now
Personally it's my watch, maybe this year I'll get round to a replacement
Do it!! You deserve it!!
I agree, it's the keeping enough money in one place for facilitate the purchase
Brooms. We've had the same one in our family for generations. We've replaced the head countless times and it's had at least 4 new handles in my lifetime.
How is it the same broom
My kitchen faucet should be replaced. I has been leaking since last summer some time.
I need a new DVD player.
In this age of streaming?
