@Abbycado Well, I am somewhat lucky in that, because I have a lovely, warm, woman friend, who shared in my only brother's death in January. You can imagine I have been 'VERY" down many time since. I still go to a 'hard yoga' class several time a week and "Diane" calls me a lot from Salt Lake City', and we talk and that helps a lot
I need to get out more and walk and run to help relieve the stress and depression, and will do that when our weather improves and I get my rear end motivated.
I think life is a series of fluctuations and just as you need ups , you also need downs for balance , if flatlining you are dead. So when feeling flat , sad , down , I tend to just go back to basics , limit the booze , watch a movie , get plenty of sleep and I work towards feeling the next Up.
People incorrectly turn to alcohol , or script drugs , not recognising that its not natural to feel constantly UP all the time , when you pop MDMA to attend a music festival , you know what you face next day , it can't be ignored , if you accept that then you understand fluctuations , just be super careful to make sure your down mood does not affect others , that's only fair.
Nothing worse bumping into a downer , when you are fully UP.
do sports... when you tire your body your mind is resting and refreshing
do the activity you love, for me it's reading books
talk to your friends, speaking about your problems and emotions helps to notice different perspectives and not obvious solutions
I bake a cake and try some new decorating techniques, or I can just go downtown for some window shopping.

As for a frown turning it upside down isn’t easy for some but for me if the sun is out I go out & connect with nature. Go for a walk, go on an adventure or even better go to the beach & just chillax & slowly things will change. Talking to someone is always a good idea & if someone made you feel down talk to them. Are you feeling down?
Oh shit! You just made my day & thanks for the laugh. Cheers to 46” RCA’s with 1080p. I’m starting to wonder that happen to the old television.
@Summeroflove Awomen would be better. Hahaha.
If I see the same post about 1080p I’ll tag you so you can add your two cents in.

Something physical, takes a while to do and doesn't require much thinking. Working out, cleaning / rearranging the house, yard work and such. Gotta balance whatever is bringing me down with something I can feel good about getting done. Some call that isolating. I call it disliking relying on others for my own happiness.
Biggest and best thing you can do is don’t bottle it up and ignore whatever it is that has you down. If there is something you can do to help yourself process/deal with whatever has you down then do it. If you have the opportunity to give yourself closure and relief then don’t hold back and don’t bottle it up inside. If it is something that you can’t control then find the best possible way to distract yourself, find a new hobby, make new friends, just go and be as social as possible. And if times get tough and you didn’t have anyone that you feel comfortable enough to talk to about what’s getting you down then keep being social and keep trying to find that someone.
Take a time out, think to myself maybe hang out with friends or family that know me well. i've also chatted with people on here before which can help. i got my ways.
i always operate with the mantra of 'this too will pass' which has always been a true statement in my life.
go out for a walk also helps me. good peaceful physical activity

Double Dream Hands pick you up 100 times out of 100👍👍
@nawtee_me interesting video
@Abbycado That song can be different for different people. For me I go the religious route being lifted up. Some think of their parents maybe, mom or dad that has always been there for them. Others a boyfriend or girlfriend whose love has taken their heart to places they thought it could never go. However it was actually written by someone that was morning a friends death and that was their thoughts of them and their friendship.
What a way to be remembered huh…
Wank.
It's gathers Stress from every corner of Nervous System, and I ejaculate it and Get a Hard Reset as an Orgasm..
It's like getting a system reboot!..
snuggle up in cozely somewhere and watch netflix, sleep it off, drink or listen to sad/angry music
Physical down… rest or meditation.
Emotional… rest, retract, find something to be thankful for, practice gratitude, talk …
Headphones and songs that hark back to times long gone. Most probably the music I grew up with when I was a teenager and young adult.
If it’s summer I’ll go kayaking if it’s cold I’ll just go to the lake with my dog and daughter and play fetch then put the seats down and all of us sit in the back of my jeep while looking out of the open trunk.
Depends on how down. I'll do something to distract myself, drink, or at worst I'll contemplating punching my off button. 3rd times the charm
Read, talk to friends, write in my journal, go for a walk
Open up and seek comfort by the people that genuinely care about me, as I do for them.
Music, exercise, go out with friends, read, watch a stupid movie.

Get back up. Is that the right answer? Ha Ha. No. When I am feeling down, it just has to pass usually. Time.
Reading and writing is very therapeutic to me. Practicing mindfulness helps as well.
I usually listen to music I like, or a go for a walk. Sometimes I read.
I hardly feel down but whenever I am, I pray while I walk and run. I also pray when I do other things.
