Trending & News Gender dyrphoria is a mental disorder, which can be treated with gender affirming care (including therapy, social gender transition and gender expression, and medical gender-affirmation and/or sex-change treatments). There is a high success rate for treating this. Anyone can experience gender dysphoria, and for some it may go away on its own or with simple gender-expression changes or treatments. For others it can be quite severe and require a lot of time and treatments to decrease to a more manageable level.
Being transgender is not a mental disorder, and cannot be treated, caused, or cured. It is a normal variant in human gender identity. Often transgender people will have gender dysphoria, but not always. Many cis people also experience gender dysphoria, although usually not to the same degree of severity. A trans person's dysphoria can be successfully treated, and they may no longer experience gender dysphoria. They will still be trans.
You advocating for "gender affirming care"... you are sick in the head. Let's sure hope you don't support doing this shit to kids.
@IHaveRespawned what kind of gender affirming care do you have a problem with? Things like haircuts and nicknames, or things like boobjobs and erection pills?
If someone seeks to shave alter their appearance, that is on them. As adults, we make choices at our own expense. We should not expect taxpayers to foot the bill for hormone therapies or gender reassignment surgeries whatsoever. And especially these practices should be banned for minors.
... although, giving into delusions should not be promoted or encouraged. And especially don't expect others to acknowledge or play into these delusions. I will not be forced to use certain pronouns to address someone. I will not allow a tranny to be in the same bathroom as my wife or children. I will not condone the rights and privacy of others because someone chooses to identify as something else.
...**I will not condone the rights and privacy of others to be violated that is**
@IHaveRespawned what? Do you really think it should only be for adults to decide whether they want to shave or alter their appearance or not? And what kind of haircuts are you getting that taxpayers have to foot the bill for? That's concerning, frankly. I hope you get help for that.
Im not sure, they might be externally one gender but have a high level of test or estro and it affects their view of self. Different than looking androgynous. I myself could be trans but unaware or im possessed by the Jezebel spirit. I don't know either way may Christ have mercy on my body and soul.

Mental illness for sure. We need to stop promoting delusions, and we especially have more grave concerns than worrying about such a snall fraction of the population.
even if it was a disease, do you think we shouldn't help these people, because they are a minority? What do you mean when you say we shouldn't care about them?
You have no empathy!
Actually, we are in the midst of a mental health crisis and this should be top priority
Of course it is.
Of course it is.
What's that?
