Don’t waste a second of your youth thinking you're old, that’s some of the best advice I can give you.

I thought I was old when I was 23 too. One of my hockey teammates is 23, and he is a BABY. So are the other guys in their 20s in my league. That’s actually literally half my age, wow. Maybe I do feel old now😂

About every five years I get to thinking I’m old, and when I look back on the five years before, I’m like “I was still so young”, lmao. But the reality is that I’m 46 and I feel like I’m your age in a lot of ways. Not athletically, lmfao, that’s definitely fallen off the cliff.

But I look in the mirror, and I definitely don’t see a guy in his 40s. I guess I’m fortunate in that I’ve aged well and don’t have a lot of the obvious signs of being older. I have all my hair, and it’s still its original color. I have it long now, but wear it up with the curls loose and going crazy, so that probably makes me seem younger (more like “less mature” lmao), I don’t dress like an old stiff, I don’t have any kids, so there’s no major life event that graduated me to another level, I still play sports, I go to concerts and GO CRAZY, lmao…. basically I never tapped out of being young.

The birth certificate don’t lie, I get it. And I knew a guy around my age now, actually a little younger, when I was your age, and I’m sure if he told me what I’m saying, I’d be like “pfffftttttt…sure thing, ‘young man’😂” But what I’m saying is, I was actually pretty wrong about older ages, now that I’ve lived them. Not as old as you think when you’re under 30. I remember thinking like 27 was old😂😂😂

Anyway, you have a long way to go. Keep being young and reckless, the only thing that changes is the weird looks you get for doing it, haha. I always want to go back to my old college for one of the big party weekends and rage like old times, and I envision myself getting arrested or at least stopped and ID’d, and the cop looking at the birth date on my license and then looking at me and going “SERIOUSLY, bro?”🤣🤣🤣
