my instinct is to be self-destructive and it's REALLY annoying, so it's just me fighting against that while processing the tragedy

so i just do what i do now to try to stay mentally healthy like therapy, friends, meds, and good habits

Everyone copes differently, but I think i usually try to let myself feel whatever I am feeling.
And i tried to focus on self care...
Did a little therapy too.

Eat good food, lift, rub one out, relax. Maybe hit the pads in the boxing gym too. Depends.
