Very beautiful, thank you for sharing. I remember when you told me about California during the wildfires and what you told me was really good. I like you standing up for your state and taking pride in what makes it an amazing place to live.

For me, I like how California is passing a law to hold insurers accountable that try to swindle their way out of payment for what their customers paid for. Americans pay them and entrust them over a span of years to decades when the time comes, they won’t have to pay a hefty fine though these insurers try to find a way out leaving the customer not only without healthcare being covered though also being robbed years / decades of useless payment. When you buy goods and services, it is with the intention you get what you bargained for so there’s no excuse. I thank California for this initiative.

California is also working on a fix to the tariff crisis and negotiating with world leaders to try to find a resolution which is great since the ‘tariff issue’ is taking a toll on us all.

California is known for making its own insulin and capping the price at $15 to my knowledge which is another bonus. California has a lot to love and the people are awesome too.

Been a fee times and can see the draw. Its cery different up north vs south. For me, it felt weird around apple, different people…and san diego / la too crowded. Food was fresh, redwoods and nature exceptional.

I love California for its weather, sunshine and variety of and landscapes. From the coolest areas upon north, to the warmer parts south of San Diego and the shore which I love, it's a truly beautiful state. If it were more affordable, I would live there. Unfortunately the state also has its share of problems with Mother Nature.

Of course. It's beautiful and the southern coast has the perfect climate. That's why so many smart people are there. If California were an independent country it would have the 5th (or 6th) largest economy in the world.

Pretty landscape doesn’t pay the bills and you cannot eat a memory. California is arguably has the most breathtaking landscapes in the Union … the taxes, fees, and policy makers make paradise hell to exist within.

Again, pretty here but pretty doesn’t pay the bills. Food is definitely more expensive up here along with everything else. Thing is, you sound like Gerry Brown and Newson when you tell Californians if you can’t afford the taxes and fees that we just aren’t smart enough to figure it out. I supposed that is why when the multimillionaires in the Palisades were burned out and largely unable to afford to return that a hedge fund is coming in buying up all that land for cheap because ever were not smart enough to figure it out…?

I hope you never have your property insurance canceled and property taxes go up so high because your county decides to reassess your home and apply some mythical high value to it so as to charge you a lot more. Then have your auto insurance suddenly greatly increase due to, “current economic times”, then water issues, natural gas and propane cost skyrocketing, and of course these bullshit food cost because government wants to screw with small ranchers and farmers by imposing new fees and requirements upon them while not applying the same to these chemically laden corporate farms… I get you are fortunate enough to have some sort of grand wealth to afford all these recent new expenses, but it is inexcusable for you or our governors to flash your wealth and shielded existences to the rest of the state like some sort of out of touch feudal lords. Still a lot when your home is being now valued at more than a half million because they keep reassessing you every year to max out your tax even without new inprovements. I definitely didn’t pay anywhere near that when it was purchased. Prop 13 isn’t as grand as it used to be if they can make up your valuation just to collect valuation taxes. If I were have my hime valued to say, take out equity, I already know the bank wouldn’t give mw its valuation. If lucky, maybe 300k. County and state can both kiss my ass. Still, both will over value for their feudal collections. I see zero of my taxes going towards anything of value as a resident. Seriously, what are ‘our’ taxes going towards? Looking around my county … nothing. The effing gas taxes doing seem to be doing anything either. Yet those also seem to keep skyrocketing.

Why are you okay with the cost of our state? It is out of control. Worse part is our government cannot even figure out what happens to billions of dollars. How is that remotely acceptable to you? This state for all its boasting of being the world’s 5th largest economy has nothing to show for it but a growing homeless population. It baffles me how you can be okay with this. It is ‘our’ dollars being spent on what? Do you now care why we are so highly taxed with nothing to show for it?

I cannot do anything about any of it, so I don't worry about it. I am not going to move to some red flyover shithole to save money. I work hard, and my work is very difficult, but I make good money, and I can afford to live the way I want to, where I want to.
