Is there a reason why so many romance stories and movies are always about cheating?

They always start with one person they end up throwing away for someone else they meet during the story, I'm sure you can think of a movie or show or whatnot just by reading this but they always make a move before breaking up with the person then the person that got cheated on finds out and their anger is part of the story 💀

Yes of course there is a reason. The reason why they show cheating as a part of these movies is to highlight on the fact that it is never right to cheat only for sexual pleasure.

The reason they show cheating is because these movies want to indicate the one should give importance to higher things like love and romance rather than only sex and sexual pleasure which is one of the most important reasons that leads to cheating.

No. I don't know how you have understood this. The first part of your sentence is not true. Cheating is not for Love. There is no relation between the two.

In fact if a person chooses to cheat for sex or sexual pleasure then it is clear they never loved their partner. Love and romance are higher things and they take time to develop.

However, your are right in your latter part of your para when you said cheating is totally unnecessary for love.

It just depends on how you understand things.

Because it’s life. Very rarely do you grow up meet someone and stay with that person for the rest of your life.
There’s usually drama, heartbreak and then you find another person somewhere down the line.

Movies are meant to distract us from everyday things and destress while giving us hope that if you have a failed relationship that eventually you too will find the right one.

I think women slapping men was normalized by soap operas and some movies. They repeatedly show women slapping men as if that’s normal and then in real life you started seeing women slapping men. Just recently men started returning the gesture when before it was frowned upon.

Anyway I do believe movies and shows are there to distract us from reality and real problems presenting us with a love story with struggles. But sometimes we choose scary movies which stress us out even if we don’t realize it and even if we enjoy that stuff
