Why is the American movie industries idea of love always to have the characters cheat?

I can already guess a romance movie just cause it's from Hollywood, the main character starts in a relationship, shows levels of unhappiness, runs into someone else, they cheat on their partner, they hide it for a while until the partner finds out, they go to the other person and that person turns out to be shit and they crawl right back to their previous partner when they realize they fucked up and its funny cause the person that gets cheated on in the movie spends the whole movie trying to get their cheating partner back, either that or they stay with the new partner and the whole movie is just a hidden secret to hide their unfaithfulness the whole movie 😂

Imagine a movie with no problems no conflict no cheating no lying nothing bad at all. They sit there and drink tea and talk all good things... that movie would get boring even quicker then the lying, cheating, seen it coming a mile away, movies. I think it's because so many people can relate to the kind of movie you described.

Misery is for audience more interesting than success. Of course reasonable solution, like when you're unhappy you dump your partner and find a new one without cheating are too simple for script writers, because there must be drama.

On the other hand in real life 90% of cheaters want people they pissed of back and those revived relationships practically never function normally again.
