Why are some people unable to answer hypothetical questions?

I don't know but some people just refuse to do it for some weird reasons, I even saw some people saying they were unable to say if someone is attractive or not physically because they do not know their personality (which is ridiculous becuase someone can be physically attractive but have a bad personality).

I guess they're people that are too black and white.

Some people just can't view the world outside of themselves. Or maybe feel it's a trick and to answer hypothetically somehow still stains their character?

There are a lot of them lol. If I ask people questions like "If you had to choose between someone that's crazy and physically attractive or someone that's physically unattractive but boring?" a lot of people would say "Neither." Because they can't think in hypotheticals.
