Why does alcohol make some people turn nasty?

Why does alcohol seem to make some people become mean and nasty? I know two people like this in my real life who almost become totally different when they drink. One gave up alcohol altogether and the other still does it, and I know when he does because he's no longer mellow.

I've heard that the reason is because alcohol makes you feel less inhibited, even with your mouth. What do you guys think?

Ethanol lowers inhibitions this is the reason lot of people show their true face.
If someone is aggressive towards you when the person is drunk, you can assume the person has some problem with you. Other people become arrogant and narcissistic. I personally turn into a revolutionary like Che Guevara after 4-5 drinks despite I don't like commies, but I'm not mean or aggressive to others.

I'm immune to alcohol, it only makes me sleepy, and I have to go to bathroom very often.

But I don't like the taste of alcohol, so I don't drink it very often, almost never.

I never got drunk, I can't do it because if I drink too much, I have to vomit, or I fall asleep.

Yup alcohol lowers your inhibitions. If you're fun and funny, you'll say outrageous stuff to make people laugh. If you're shy you'll lose some of that and say or do things you normally wouldn't. But if you're mainly angry and bitter, that's what you're holding back, and that's what will come out with alcohol.

Alcohol decreases/removes a person's inhibitions, so they start to express the thoughts & feelings they have, but normally keep hidden from others.

What you're seeing is the person they really are.

They are mean and nasty people, but when they are sober they can control themselves. Alcohol is disinhibiting, so when they are intoxicated their true feelings come out. When truly nice people drink, they are still nice, just tipsy.

The way I got it figured, the booze loosens them up to the point where they show you the real them, it's what's already inside of them. They just have a lot of control over it to not let it out but, the booze robs them of that control.
