What's your favorite holiday tradition (please include the holiday and the region you're writing from)?

I live in Florida. I have been a member of my church choir for 25 years. My favorite tradition is attending our midnight service on Christmas Eve, singing with the church choir.

On New Year's, my family always has a glass of champagne filled and in hand and when the clock hits 12am, we make some noise (using those noise makers) and go around hugging each other and shaking each other's hands saying "Happy New Year."

Really makes the family feel more family like and we do that almost every year since I've been born.

I am from a muslim country and i find our national and religious holiday traditions very boring. I only find Christmas and Halloween holiday traditions from other countries very fun.

My mother died of Alzheimer's. I took over all her holidays. Just to keep the tradition going for my father.
