When I was a kid and we would go to the park on the weekends. Back then it was full of other families, other kids. Felt like such an adventure. Spending hours on the swings, the slides, the sandbox, taking breaks for snacks our mom brought, meeting other kids... You don't see days like that anymore, not even on the weekends.
And then summer of 2021. That was a very special one.
@Dongie Yep those days were ultra special. Back then it really meant a lot to people get outside and be active and see all the life of the spring and summer - you practically waited for it all year. Eating honeysuckle off the bushes, seeing turtles in the woods, jump rope and hopscotch with other kids. Now technology dominates the average activity incentive.
1981 with a few best friends at a secluded area attainable through a friends farm to the back side of Lake Bob Sandlin where we had a rope tied to a limb and you could swing out over the water. I was 18 and found a small crevice to enjoy life for a minute.

My wife left her home in Gainesville and moved in with me in July 2021. That was an exciting summer.
I grew up in a sleepy middle class suburb. I think the summers there, hanging out with other kids when I was a pre-teen, were fun. Nothing specific and no particular summer, but it was just fun growing up with a neighborhood full of other kids.
As an adult, I was always either involved with taking summer classes in college, or working after I finished college. As an adult I think I am more into Spring or Fall.
When I was 19 I went to a beach at night with a few friends and this girl I really liked was there. She sat on my lap while I was sitting on a rock and I remember feeling the butterflies for the first time. It was a nothing more than this but it was a really great and happy memory
white water rafting with the family horseback riding and riding dirt bikes at our family campground up in North Carolina in Asheville I’ve always lived in Miami, Florida, but I would go up there every summer. We had the campground for a very long time
Driving up to Northern California with my mom, dad, and brother when I was 7. We stayed at my dad's friend's house. He built a giant log cabin type house up in the redwoods. We went to one of the state or national forests and walked around. It was unreal to a kid from the city. 300 foot trees all over the place.
Just being carefree as a kid during the summer. Waking up in the morning and spending all day outside playing or riding bikes. Coming back for dinner and then going back out until it got dark.
Riding in my best friend's older car where both rows of windows were down with no pillar in between them and we cruised.
1996 summer for sure. Olympics.. lost my virginity...

Don't have any my summers are filled with nothing but overtime and slaving away in the heat, running around like a chicken with my head cut off because in my field summer is the busiest time of year.
When we were on our first Summer vacation, we were on a beautiful beach, and the water was perfect.
Holidays to the East Coast of Yorkshire with my grandparents may they RIP 🙏
