Have you ever had damn near everything taken form you, yet you still keep moving forward?

Question

I've been taken to hell and back multiple times in my life. Recently I've been asked what keeps me going , I have now clue. All I know is I have to keep moving forward.

But I have another birthday coming up, I'm starting to wonder, why? Why keep going?

Then I get a wet nose tap from the pet and I have to keep going.

Sad but true...

Sometimes it's not that we want to die, we just want to feel better and have some peace in our lives.
I have lost everything I owned more than once and for different reasons.
Very painful things. I can't list all of them here.
The reason I got through each one was with God's help. He had to have had otherwise I wouldn't have survived.
Now that I am older I rely a lot more on God's help 🙏 and lean on Jesus Christ who is my personal savior. But I have been ✝️ Christian since I was 24. God and Jesus have been with me and my son since then.

My birthday 🎂 is this month and I've only made it this far because of the things God has done for me. He leads me in the right direction and paths so that things work out somehow.

I've lived through things that would have broken people but I keep getting through each terrible thing.

I just put one foot in front of the other one and press on each day.

Abandoned by my parents when I was 12 and raped and almost killed by a man who I thought I could trust. Coming back from those experiences wasn't easy, but it did make me stronger. I feel like I can do anything now but I guess I needed to be knocked down first.

Our generation tends to “soldier on” bc we were trained to “get over it” since we were little kids. Sh*t happens and it tends to happen rather a lot to some of us more than others.

Almost a couple of times. But what else can you do except pull yourself up by your bootstraps and keep moving forward it's the only way anything can even have the possibility of getting better.
