I never hear about records for the country, only the local area. It's been a hot summer here, but I'd be surprised if we broke any records.

Around 1989-91 I was doing heavy outdoor labor when a lot of record highs were being set. I was drinking about 8-9 liters of water a day at work. I think we set some record highs for the date, but also the most hot days in a row, the earliest and latest day over 100 (38C), etc.

I think in 2025 we had another record for the earliest occurrences of hot day (s).

Nah the all time high for where I live is 113 and it hasn't gotten that hot this year yet.
