Yes. But it's not a gender thing, it's a human thing. It's the man who reads the same book over and over again and calls it 'a good book' because it's good for him, not because it actually says anything. He's so focused on proving he's intelligent that he stops learning anything. He's mistaking cleverness for intelligence.

This is somewhat true. Men definitely like to think they're experts or know-it-alls in a lot of things, and love to one up each other. But women still do think of themselves as the smartest, they just don't exactly try to throw it around like men do, but their attitude will tell you how they think.
