What level of luxury did you have growing up?

Lots of support and love and even though we were poor, I have never felt that I missed anything.
We always had a roof above our heads and food even though there were times that we were struggling financially.
Also I do not want any other form of luxury.
It is not something I have ever wanted.
I wasn't raised that way.
I want a simple, peaceful life.
Years later my father told me we grew up poor. We just never knew it. There was always food on the table at meal time & I always had clean clothes to go to school in.
@Nikki1989 Thanks for a MHO.

Like Cartman from south park, poor but not Kenny though I was Kenny at my dads. My mother managed to pay for things and spoil me just enough. My dad couldn't because well now he had to pay child support and separate rent etc. So at his it was cold, and much poorer.
My mother didn't care about this or even further lied to me saying he never paid towards any child support. When clearly he did otherwise he'd been able to afford a better lifestyle and would've made it better when I stayed at his, and of course he has the proof he did so yeah.
Well there was at least always a roof over my head. A lot of people take that for granted but there's kids out there then and now who grew/grow up in cars or on the streets. So I'm thankful that I did at least have that.
There's a book called "No, we weren't poor we just didn't have any money." That sums it up for me. A little farm. A little town. 5 girls, 1 bathroom , 1 outhouse. We often went to school smelling like the barn from doing morning chores but so did all the other kids. 😂 So many good memories.
Steak lobster and crabs were normal meals and when the lights went out we played charades, throw wood into the fireplace, roast marshmallows, listened to the radio and went to sleep
butter and bread with the mouldy spots cut off lol
it literally was high peaks and lows when i lived with my dad. very inconsistent based on how functional he was
I grew up in a lower middle class family. We didn't have many luxuries. Probably the most luxury we had was the cabin we rented for the summer on Lake Ontario.
Pretty poor, I didn't start my first business venture at 8 just for fun
My parents were in debt to the eyeballs, my mother still has a couple of credit cards but my father is still in the weeds but I'm debt free which it wonderful
I did not realize it till my teens, but I had it pretty easy. Not mansion in Bel Air easy, but lived (and still do) at the beach. Had two parents who loved each other and me. Never worried about the next meal or money.
I grew up in a very expensive town. My family was fairly normal but my friends all were super rich for the most part. When I was little we actually lived in a town that was not the best. I’ve seen it all. But I lived in a house that was over 9,000 sa feet at one point. That was with a friends family when my parents moved when I was in college. That house was disgustingly big and expensive.
Duplex. My room got little heat or air conditioning. It was in the middle of nowhere and it was a good mile and a half to town. The town was tiny. It was 20 miles to anywhere that had a Walmart or target.
Upper middle class, like most of the suburb. So, very little luxury, but everything was solid.
My bathroom didn't look like THAT, but I did not grow up in any kind of luxury for sure. We were poor.
Food stamps, no heat, hand-me-downs, the usual. 😂
Pretty low I had place to live and food always but no extra stuff In my life
I can't complain. We weren't rich, but neither were we dirt poor. My parents took me on modest vacations.
Not much of a luxury, small apartment with two rooms, kitchen, pantry, hallway, bathroom, and balcony.
Growing up we only have one little bathroom for 3 people. But I lived on a 97 acre farm. It is what it is.
I didn't have to go outside to use the bathroom, unless someone was already in there and I really couldn't wait
Near poverty.
I lived in our summer place. It was a great location
Pretty good
Well i can remember the outside toilet lol
I've never experienced..
lots of love
