What was something you thought was a "rich people" thing when you were a kid?

We had one rich guy on the street. He owned the local Ford dealership. He always drove a new T-Bird convertible. Sometimes if he saw you walking home from school or the store he would give you a ride. It was always a big deal to get a ride in a new T;Bird. He had a riding lawnmower and myself and all the neighborhood kids wanted to mow his lawn. and he had a color tv that had a remote control. He also had a 3 car garage.

Having a nice car (mostly new), classy clothes. Then i understood that we weren't poor, and we weren't rich either, my parents saved a loooot of money but we all gave up on money to leave our country for Sweden. Now! I have 2 cars, a big house, big garden, classy clothes, vacations over the seas and so on, i am not rich, i work hard and save money so i can have fun with it, that's all

Going out to eat every day. But i know way too many broke people who can’t pay their bills but still shop and eat out daily. Like damn who are you trying to impress

Owning a million dollar house. Back then, nobody I knew had even half a million dollars.

I had no concept of rich. Maybe taking a long vacation to a foreign country or owning a horse.

Fast food. I remember all my friends getting to go to BK and Mickey D's on the regular and we almost never went. So growing up I thought fast food was for rich people. Turned out my mom just cared about what she fed us.😆
