Do you believe in the afterlife?

I don’t believe it. I believe heaven was just a man made idea people came up with to make the people who are afraid of death feel better.

Actually the prevailing narrative suggests religion was man made by the controlling elite. The purpose was to give the slaves and plebeians a reason to behave and look forward to an “afterlife” because the ruling class knowingly and deliberately made their lives on Earth hellish. It’s basically a tool for making people oppress themselves for the benefit of higher castes. Ell oh ell!

Technically speaking, there IS life after death. This is an undeniable fact. The question of “afterlife” generally refers to whether or not there’s consciousness after death. That i don’t know. But i once heard Sam Jackson say that he abides by the basic tenets, “Because, why not?”. Either you get to go to heaven, or you’re a better person on Earth with no eternal reward. Similarly, i try to be a good person, and in the west that remarkably resembles much of what the Bible describes as what it means to be a good Christian. I’m probably not going to Heaven either way. But there’s always room for improvement!

It is a man made idea but it wasn't created for people feel better, but to control people's motivation. Most Germanic, Slavic or Celtic afterlife myths encourage death while fighting and despise natural death due higher age.

Christian afterlife myth is manipulative either. However it doesn't include fighting but obedience towards god and the clergy.
Belief in afterlife is a mind control tool

I believe in an afterlife, it's much more logical to expect an afterlife simply because life forms, a personality forms and from there when someone dies, whatever makes that person who they are, isn't there anymore, ever seen a dead person, it's just an empty shell, it's logical to assume whatever makes that personality is something (being a soul) which is what I believe, if souls exist, a place where those souls go must exist, death seems like another stage of life, also there's no repeating in someone's life, they are born, they live until they die, they aren't unborn which makes it seem more like it's a phase and there's a continuation.

There could be i did overdose one time and i had a weird experience of flying outside my body like a ghost. I always tried to debunk it as a hallucination, but my heartbeat was irregular when i woke up i honestly have no clue what happened to me but all i know is im not tying it again lol.

there is no believe involved. The soul, between the time of death and rebirth or reincarnation, withdrawn from the physical body, experiences a differently perceived world. Any threats and promises of what you will get, be it to burn in fire or fuck a million virgins, do not make sense in a world without a physical body.

As if thermodynamics would let you burn eternally anywhere anyway.

Nobody knows what happens after you die. I think heaven and hell are bullshit stories to make you want to be good and be afraid to be bad. I've seen some ghosts, though; or what appeared to be ghosts. What they are or where they are is not something that can be explained by the living.
