I’m surprised at how often I bring it up to people who know nothing about it

Im aware of the lavender scare , I was a young adult back then , I had a few friends in the gay community then , it seems like it was more a lesbian issue but I may be remembering that completely wrong.
I know what lavender marriage is, but don’t know what the lavender scare is.
The lavender scare was an event where being gay wasn’t exactly legal, and there were people calling for citizens to report anyone they thought might be gay in places where it wasn’t allowed. Kinda like the red scare but it was queerness instead of communism.
It's more lack of caring probably.
That doesn’t make it any less historically significant
Of course not. People stay silent when they agree with something. Silence often speaks volumes.
