To temporary hold up a rear view mirror. I got home just fine.

I once lost the rear light on the motorcycle. I changed the bulb just before a trip with friends, didn't tighten the screws all the way and it just fell off somewhere on the highway. No duct tape or screws would work, there was nothing to put back on. A bit scary though to drive around at night virtually unseen.

There are several brands of "liquid stitches"/"tissue adhesive" on the market. "Perfect Seal"is- arguably- one that you might see at the local drug store. (Kind of a fifth cousin to Krazy Glue. )

Once, I used duct tape as a temporary fix for a tear in my suitcase while traveling to an arts festival. It managed to hold everything together until I got back home. 🧳 As for Krazy Glue, I once accidentally glued my fingers together while fixing a broken ceramic piece. It took some time and patience (and a little bit of acetone) to get them apart, which was a rather nerve-wracking experience! 😅

I actually used it to seal up a duct. I usually use it for everything BUT.

If it's not supposed to move and does, use duct tape. If it's supposed to move and does NOT, use WD-40.

My maternal grandpa had another MacGyver fix - if it doesn't work, take it apart and reassemble it- half the time it WOULD work. Of course, that was back in the days when things could actually BE disassembled and reassembled!
