Winter is Coming - Do you ever wear SHORTS in the SNOW?

Question

We're well in Fall/Autumn and Winter is not far away. It will get cold and many areas will have snow.

There seems to be a recent trend where people wear shorts in the snow, when it's cold.

Do you ever wear shorts in the snow? Do many people in your area do that?

1. I live in northeast Florida. In my 70 years here, it has snowed twice. Once, the snow actually stayed on the ground until the next day. That is all.

2. Tonight's overnight low will be 52° F (10° C.) and we (me and the other native Floridians) will probably all freeze to death.

3. If I go somewhere else (like Maine) and I do encounter snow, you damn sure know that me and my ass are bundled up snug as a bug in a rug!

A couple people in my area do but my area also has some people who are "strong like bull, smart like tractor". I don't remember right off hand ever doing it but often if I need to run to the woodshed or chicken house or mailbox real qwik I'll just wear my flannel jammies. 🤷‍♀️

And yes, I am so not looking forward to winter. 🥶

Sure do. But now I used to roll around in the snow wearing swimwear as a kid. How many around me do it too I don't really know, don't tend to hyper focus on what others are wearing or not. 😅

I'll try and take note to it during the snowy days.

I wear shorts whenever I can.

In the snow, if I'm going to an appointment where I'll be walking a short distance from my truck to a building, I still wear shorts.
I usually then have people asking me if I'm cold when I do so.

People ask me the same thing when it's just cold out, too, not just when it snows.

No, most folks in my area don't dress lightly in cold weather, especially in snow.

If I'm going to out in the snow for a longer period of time, a rare event for me, I get bundled up.

Almost never. I got out of an outdoor hot tub and made a snow angel on a dare. I also went skinny dipping in late fall. There may have been anomalous events where i ran to my car for something after i was in my house clothes for the night. I really dislike being cold and i always have. So it was super rare for me to choose to be any colder than i had to be at any given time.

I've worn shorts before, not that often, but I've done it. I wear skirts and dresses in the winter a lot. Most of the time with tights thankfully lol

When I lived where it snows, no, I didn't wear shorts.  In fact, I stole my boyfriend's long John's and wore them under my work clothes. 🙃
