Well, to be honest, I only know about Guy Fawkes day from the awesome graphic novel, "V for Vendetta" by Alan Moore, which was later turned into a horrible movie.

So, my question is, Do you remember the 5th of Nov? Or is it just another day?

There is good reason to forget.
The event was celebrated not because the plot failed but to foster hatred towards Catholics. When you consider the UK went though 30 years of bombings by the IRA it doesn't really seem fitting we make a big deal out of something that happened in 1605

Being generally no fan of American superhero comics/movies, I have to say that V for Vendetta was one of the few film adaptations that I actually liked. 😀
