The Japanese initiated an unprovoked attack on the United States, killing 3,000 innocent lives. Did we just say oh well, and let it pass? Did we call for a cease-fire? No, we came, we saw, we kicked their ass! So why is what Israel did, after an unprovoked attack by Hamas with 3,000 rockets, any different? Yet everyone seems to hate Israel. Just as we mopped up the Japanese, and actually nuked them, so is Israel attempting to mop up Hamas so they can live in peace. Hamas, as well as Hezbollah, has ties to Iran. They started this whole mess. Don't you think we should all hate Iran instead of Israel? It just seems like a lot of Americans are hypocrites. I guess do as we say, not as we do. ☹
5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Japan's attack was not exactly unprovoked, out of the blue, or senseless. And it wasn't planning to invade the U. S.
"Japan had been modernising its economy throughout the 20th century and wanted to build an empire of its own. However, Japan lacked the natural resources to make it a reality, with all but 6% of its oil supply being imported. After capturing Manchuria, Japan became bogged down in a full-scale war with China in 1937 and had to look elsewhere for the resources it needed to fight. Meanwhile, the USA was slowly awakening from its isolationism.
"When Japan occupied French Indochina in 1941, America retaliated by freezing all Japanese assets in the states, preventing Japan from purchasing oil. Having lost 94% of its oil supply and unwilling to submit to U. S demands, Japan planned to take the oil needed by force. However, striking south into British Malaya and the Dutch East Indies would almost certainly provoke an armed U. S response. To blunt that response, Japan decided to attack the U. S Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor, hoping that the U. S would negotiate peace.
"The attack at Pearl Harbor was a huge gamble, but one which did not pay off. Though Japan took its objectives in the Pacific and Southeast Asia, the U. S did not respond as expected. Instead of reverting to isolationism, the U. S geared up for total war and Japan's fate was sealed."

To understand what happened in Israel on Oct.7, 2023, one has have a modicum of historical knowledge.
To believe that the attack was senseless or that Israel was an innocent victim is ridiculous. Israel has never wanted peaceful coexistence with the indigenous people of Palestine. It's goal has always been to drive them out and steal their land.
look at the bombing of the King David Hotel; the murder of Count Folke Bernadotte, a United Nations Mediator for Palestine; the Nakba; and the attack on the USS Liberty for a hint at Zionist behavior.
Israel has always been 100% the aggressor even though it always claims its aggression is self defense. That's like a vicious robber or rapist claiming that he killed his victims in self defense. But all most people ever hear is the Israeli propaganda; manufactured consensus.
For 76 years, it has done nothing but abuse, humiliate, rob, torture, imprison, and murder Palestinians by the millions. The aggression actually began in the mid-1930s.
Did Palestinians or Arabs ever have a problem with Jews before Israel created itself? No. Muslims, Jews and Christians lived side by side as neighbors, in harmony for centuries. There were mosques, synagogues and churches.
Israel has refused to allow the formation of an independent Palestinian state. It has been an occupier in every area designated to Palestinians. It treats them like prisoners.
It kidnaps and tortures Palestinians without charge.
It calls Palestinians "human animals".
When it goes on a bombing campaign every couple of years it calls it "mowing the lawn".
It deliberately targets and murders women, children, doctors, medical workers, ambulances and emergency personnel, journalists, and UN aid workers.
Oh, but Israel calls resistance terrorism. It calls support for the oppressed terrorism. It blames any resistance or even criticism on "antisemitism".
What Israel has done would fill volumes. The photos of the beautiful, young, happy, well dressed children it murders every day would rip the heart out of anyone possessing a heart.
But oh yeah, we're supposed to feel sorry for frightened settlers who just want to live California lifestyles while celebrating the annihilation of anyone but them.
Here is Israel's destiny:23 Reply- 1 y

1 yBecause back then the whole political situation was different.
The most simple way of explaining it is this: Back in 1941 the US was not an oppressor; the US wasn't really interested in World Affairs, and despite offering support to Britain wasn't interested in warfare. Her comes Imperial Japan, with a massive fleet, fighter planes and bombers... and 'out of nowhere' (it is way more complicated; I will not highlight on that now) comes an 'unprovoked' attack on US soil.
Whether the US wanted war or not, the US had no choice.
And then there is Israel. Israel is a state which has declared independence on stolen land based on a false, racial ideology. No point in challenging me on this, I am well informed. This is not to brag or something, it is simply a fact.
The Palestinians have been oppressed for 76 years, since Israel's independence; prior to that, despite both sides sharing culpability in the various hostilities, the Zionists and unsuspecting Jews who had migrated to Palestine were far more brutal in their violence and land seizures.
Israel is not the victim here... Even if you want to make that case that Israel has a right to bring the 'perpetrators of Operation al Aqsa Flood to justice', it does not justify the senseless murder Israel is unleashing onto the population. Israel has all the means to execute targeted operations. Look at the spectacular... yes, even I can admit that... rescue Operation Entebbe. When Israel wants to execute a resistance commander in Beirut, I can devastate a floor of a building without damaging the floor above and below it. Israel is well capable of minimising casualties amongst a hostile population... But Israel chooses not to.
That is where the difference lies.17 Reply- 1 y
Hamas is not the issue here; it doesn't matter whether someone sees them as resistance fighters, or terrorists. It also shouldn't matter whether you feel Israel has a right to exist or another solution is needed.
What Israel is doing is just plain wrong; there is no justification for the senseless slaughter of 10 of thousands people and wounding hundreds of thousands more while starving whomever survives.
Where you stand on this has nothing to do with personal, national or religious preferences... it has everything to do with Morality. Support Israel if you feel a need to, but condemn this Genocide and admit that Israel has a very dark past which continues up till present times.
- 1 y
And the US could have done the same and not nuked innocent civilians. You attack someone then you can not complain that they are going to kick your ass. It's the same with police. If some gunman attacks the police, they stop the threat by whatever means it takes, even if it means killing the threat. I would think you would do the same if some gang broke into your house and attacked your family. Are you going to invite them to sit down for tea and crumpets, or are you going to end the threat to your life?
- 1 y
@daniela1982. Except Israel is the gang who breaks into the houses and attacks families. It levels entire neighborhoods if anyone resists. Then it acts like a victim and blames criticism on antisemitism.
Israel is more ruthless than Nazi Germany. Good Jews, even Nazi prison camp survivors condemn Israel's actions. Zionism is an evil ideology. - 1 y
@daniela1982 what you say in your last comment/ reply is of course true... but the simple fact remains that Israel is the oppressor and thus a perpetrator; whereas the US during World War 2, when Pearl Harbour got bombed, was a victim.
What you say is absolutely true about the US... The US could have chosen not to nuke Nagasaki and Hiroshima; It is a war-crime. Japan was defeated and those 2 nukes were not needed.
The Problem wasn't that Japan refused to surrender, the problem was that Japan was still arrogant enough to think they could set the terms of their surrender. The only obstacle was the question regarding the Emperor. The Japanese wanted immunity for their 'demi-god' Emperor which the US INITIALLY refused. After the 2 bombs had been dropped, the Japanese 'demand' did get honoured. Hirohito has not been persecuted as a war criminal. So these 2 bombs were not needed.
So why did the US bomb those 2 cities?
It was a warning and a show of force towards the USSR... That's why Nagasaki and Hiroshima have been bombed.
To save American, and other POWs? Bollocks, there were POW camps near both city, the fallout and radiation reached those camps too, and US POW died as a result of the bombs - 1 y
@Lliam Zionism and National Socialism both have their origins in the same 'Socialist' thought Moses Hess, the founding father of 'Labour Zionism' pursued.
Moses Hess was a colleague of Karl Marx; it was Moses Hess who introduced Friedrich Engels to the Marxist ideology. Marx/ Engels and Hess parted ways because they could not overcome the disagreement that had regarding the cause of all the world's problems. Marx and Engels blamed all the problems on 'Class', Moses Hess blamed 'Race'.
"Hess became reluctant to base all history on economic causes and class struggle (as Marx and Engels did), and he came to see the struggle of races, or nationalities, as the prime factor of history."
en.wikipedia.org/.../Moses_Hess#Views_and_opinions
By the time a Thule society and the predecessor of the NSDAP, the DAP, had adopted these racial views... No one remember who the 'Jew' Moses Hess was... but his theories had found their way, through German philosophers, into the post-World War 1 German Political climate. - 1 y
@Lliam It was also people like Moses Hess who opposed the Anarchist Mikhail Bakunin and banned him from the 1st Internationale which caused a split between Anarchists and Marxists.
There's a lot of agreement between the 2 ideologies... But Anarchism opposes a 'State', it opposes a 'Dictatorship'... and Marxism fully supports a Dictatorship; the 'Dictatorship of the Proletariat'.
This is why Bakunin, and Anarchism, had to be kept away from the 1st Internationale; and because Bakunin was fully away who his opponents, rivals, were he went a little bit into an 'Anti-Semitic' rant about Jews in general which is why he is now being labelled an 'Anti-Semite'.
(It's a bit the same with Wagner... Wagner is being labelled an Anti-Semite; and Wagner's music is banned in Israel. Wagner didn't hate Jews; for a long time Wagner thought he was a Jew himself because he assumed his adopted father, who was a Jew, was his real father. Wagner has seen and experienced Jewish society up close, he's been a part of that. He did make the mistake of blaming his own failures on Jews... but there is no denying that Wagner had Jewish friends and patrons)
2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Daniela, did you happen to see Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech at the American 🇺🇸 capitol last week?
I saw his speech in it's entirety.
When you hear him explain what Iran, Hamas, and the Hourhi people did to innocent people this takes on a whole different story.
He even said that Iran was behind the failed assassination of President Trump.
I thought he was right on with everything he was saying. Then the next day after his speech, the Israeli people said they were depressed because he didn't say how he was going to get them out of this.
He did repeatedly warn the Americans in the room and those of us watching him on TV that if America 🇺🇸 didn't help them with financial support very soon they couldn't fight the enemies and that America would be next. They would come to America and fight on American soil is the way I understood it. Or, would our military (what's left of it) go to Iran and have a war on their turf. It wasn't quite clear how the logistics would play out.
If you didn't see his speech from last week perhaps it's on YouTube or something else.10 Reply

As God has said, He will bless those who support Israel and curse those that don't. The only reason the US has not been judged was because we were a haven for the Jew, and were allies of Israel. If everyone turns on Israel, I imagine something is going to happen. Either some terrorism by all the freaks Biden let in, or some natural disaster. Remember I said this so when something happens you know I was right.

1 yThe US was wrong too.
An entirely new set of rules for war was adopted due to the US’s overreaction.
The attack on Pearl Harbor killed LESS THAN 2500 people, and most of them were military. The US response killed well over 100,000 people immediately; mostly CIVILIANS. And thousands more died over time as a result of radiation poisoning, exposure, starvation, etc. The exact death tolls are still unknown because of the extent of the destruction and damage to infrastructure. The best estimates are well over 150,000. Again, MOSTLY civilians. The US knew immediately that what they did was fucked up. They initiated their own tribunal. Possibly because they didn’t want retribution for what they had done. US citizens didn’t actually feel empathy for generations. This question makes it clear that some still don’t. That’s a sign of sociopathy. You should seek professional help.01 Reply- 1 y
Tribunal? Nobody blamed democrat president truman for mass murdering civilians.
And dont say he was not warned , eisenhower who knew ear warned not to use atom bomb
Dirty democrats got away with murder. Stained American history. But can't blame republicans for opposing democrats slavery and more.

1 yOur response was largely viewed as a mistake. There's a strong case to be made that Japan surrendered after the first bomb and a weak case they surrendered before. And of course the conspiracy that the whole thing was set up by the zionests.
The war in Gaza was completely fabricated by the CIA. We funded it, came up with the script and set up the political world stage for it.
Both sides at this particular point are victims in the sense that average civilians are not political prisionars of war to the military industrial complex and the zionests regime which seems to control all of it.
03 Reply- 1 y
Fabricated? Even biden admitted "our citizens " americans were taken hostage by palestinian. And knowing that he left them to rot.
@strateguy632 oh no, it definitely is happening. It's just that we funded both sides and probably got the rest of the world to mostly stay out of it so we could play real life game of thrones.
Also Biden was the one who un-froze 8 billion dollars to Iran shortly before this all happened and almost immediately after taking office.
Not that he's cognizant enough that you would think he even understood what he was doing.

1 yI'm not that old, I wasn't there, but I've studied the events of December 7, 1941, the events leading up to it, the details of the day, and the following events.
It was the one event that brought the United States into the War in Europe, as well as in the Pacific, which ultimately led to the end of the Third Reich and the Japanese Empire.
I always find it interesting that Germany and Japan, the fierce enemies of the US and the Allies in World War II, are now some of their firmest allies.
What happened in 1941 and is happening in 2023-2024 are two completely different things. Let's not try to justify either one.

but some Americans say israel is guilty if it fights back. Liberals are the worst hypocrits!

Liberals are the worst hypocrits.
Both the part of :
a, the conventional fighting back 1941 to 1945, so complain israel fought back, big hypocrits.
B, but worse some liberals justify the atom bomb we used , they defend democrat ppresident ! Because he was democrat! But complain israel fought back. Even bigger hypocrits.

Anonymous(36-45)1 yI don't hate Israel, and find it difficult to see the position of Hamas as serious given they were offered and rejected their own state.
Indeed they were defac to given their own state anyway, and they turned around and used it only to wage war upon their neighbors even neglecting the people thereof.
Hamas must be destroyed and if the Palestinian people can't be swayed to abandon Hamas then they need to be forcefully reeducated.10 Reply- 2.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
1 yIsrael and Palestine have a history worth looking into. Israel is considered an occupational territory, meaning it isn’t Israel’s land. Any move they make, by right, falls under offensive rather than defensive because Palestine was there first.
06 Reply- 1 y
Palestine was not there first. God gave them the land 3,000 years ago. Palestinians are squatters.
The land that was named Israel 3000 years ago has been conquered and reconquered so many times and gone through so many name changes that by the time the 1940’s came around and Jewish refugees were seeking a new home in England, they redirected them to their Homeland, then called Palestine. The current Israel occupation is not even a century old.
- 1 y
Just because the Jews were spread around the world and put into slavery does not mean they still do not own the land. There were lots of people there, but the owner was God, who gave it to them. Genesis 15:18
7 When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. 18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give[c] this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, 19 the land of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, 20 the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim, 21 the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites and the Jebusites.” You know there’s no evidence that the Hebrew people were actually enslaved outside of those religious texts? There’s no mention of it in any egyptian documentation that survived, or any record relating to it in the known hieroglyphs. The bible is not a historical document, it can’t be used as evidence here.
- 1 y
It is the most sold and read book in history. I think it's provenance takes lead here. After all, there are billions who believe in God and His word. Majority rules.
But the book of Genesis is heavily plagiarized and for that evidence alone the book is heavily unreliable as a historical source. Compare the Epic of Gilgamesh to the story of Noah and see the similarities. The Torah was only written down during the Babylonian occupation of Israel, now Palestine, and the Hebrew people were exiled from their land and realized without any physical evidence their oral tradition of Judaism would die out with them so they started writing and preserving it. In doing so, they realized they had no origin stories for the creation of the world, so they borrowed the Babylonian stories of origin and modified them. When you put the religious text into historical context, all of the current interpretations change and it’s an unreliable source for history.
And if we’re going by “majority rules” then Christians are not the majority. It’s certainly the most popular theistic religion but the most popular religious choice is “no religion” on most censuses where it’s relevant.
You're not going to educate the left. You can't break the intense brainwashing that's been put on them. I wonder if God, well of course, unless, well anyway, their cooked.
