I’d rather live without knowing. Knowing the exact day I die would completely change the way I live, and not in a good way. Every decision, every moment, every plan would revolve around that date. I feel like I’d either spend my life anxious and counting down, or rushing to cram everything in before the clock runs out.
Not knowing allows life to feel more natural. I can enjoy experiences, make memories, and grow without a deadline hanging over me. The uncertainty is what makes life meaningful because we appreciate things more when we don’t know how long we have. I’d rather focus on living fully than on waiting for the end.
10 Reply731 opinions shared on Other topic. I would like to know. Because if it’s soon, and I would know how… I would keep that event from happening keeping me alive. Say it’s in 2 hours and it’s by car wreck. I would simply stay home and not drive. No wreck. No death and I would stay alive longer. However if that did happen and I beat it, then I’m sure a thought or something would tell me the next event of how it would happen. In a way it’s cheating death. Literally a game of life and death. Truck is don’t get distracted. It’s 6:24 am here and I’m still half asleep. Maybe I’m right or wrong about this whole thing. I dunno.
10 ReplyI remember dying in a previous life. I remember the visions and feeling it amd the sounds around my death. In that life I was a soldier and was not able to avoid it. I started having visions only driving home from work, hearing a big rig drive up on my right amd something breaks or he runs over something amd it comes through my right side window amd hits me in the head and takes out my right eye and cuts half my head off. This time either have just been driving the whole way home on the far right hand lane so no big rigs can drive on my right. Last week a truck on my left made a horrible noise and sparks kicked off the bottom amd as I passed it on its right and watched in the rear view it limped into the far left lane amd disabled 2 lanes. There is no exact day that you doe, but some day you will. Get your affairs in order. We dont have a lot of days left, even if we are lucky.

7 moI don't mind I've been going through really strange weird spiritual stuff for decades, till it got this terrible. This question reminds me of final destination I was driving behind a working truck on the freeway suddenly a big piece of steel falls from it , gets underneath my car, sparks underneath for like 2 miles. my first reaction I swerved till it magically stayed behind, was shaking till I got inside my house.

8 moLol! Me and my partner had this convo just the other day. We were watching X-Files and an insurance salesman had that gift/curse to know when someone was going to die so he would ask them if they wanted to know.
I said no, I don't want to know 'cuz when that day rolled around I really wouldn't want to get out of bed but I really don't want to die in bed so I would get up but I don't think I'd enjoy my morning coffee very much at all.

No, you’d probably choke and drown on it, right there at the kitchen table. Would be kind of funny though. Especially writhing around in your pink flannels on the kitchen floor 😉😘
4.2K opinions shared on Other topic. I don't want to know when I'll die because I don't want to spend the rest of my life worrying about not being able to do things in the time I have left. I would rather just be carefree. Do as best as I can in life without worrying about dying. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the good moments if I keep fixating on time left.

7 moMost people would rather not know, living with a countdown would make every choice feel tense.
Not knowing lets life stay natural and free.
But some people prefer certainty.
Knowing the date would help them plan, fix things, and use their time intentionally.
It depends on whether someone values freedom or clarity more.10 Reply19.4K opinions shared on Other topic. Lets put it this way when you set your alarm in the morning, knowing that you have to get up at a certain time, doesn’t it bother you when you’re sleeping? And when you don’t need to set an alarm, then you can sleep comfortably. I don’t think anybody wants to know their death date. They’ll freak out and be so stressed out they won’t relax and you’ll get very high blood pressure maybe even a heart attack

7 moI don’t think I really would want to know that because I probably would be thinking about it every day and the only good thing knowing it would be is that I would know whether to get a big life insurance plan in time to leave to my kids that I would not have to pay into for very long plus I could know how soon to retire Instead of waiting to get the maximum amount of Social Security
10 Reply 1.5K opinions shared on Other topic. I don't care to know that. It's God's day to take me home and have my long awaited homecoming. He already knows the date and time it's going to happen and how. ✝️ 🙏🏼
20 ReplyI wish I could know the day I’m going to die, because until that day I would live more carefully and cautiously. Since we can’t know this, most things just don’t matter to us.
20 ReplyI think I’d rather not know. I mean if I’m having really poor health and know I still have 30 years, that would be a huge pain. Also if I was in great health and everything was going well, knowing it would be the next day would also suck.

I would.
