Why do some people want to private message over anything and everything?

Not even just G@G in specific but you could ask a simple yes or no type of question and they ask if they could private message you. As in like:

Me: What's your favorite color?

Them: Why don't you private message me and find out.

Me: No, but literally, what's your favorite color, that's all I want to know.

Them: You could still private message me anyway.

Me: No I don't really want to this is a very simple and quick question.

Them: Come on, private message me.

And sort of a back and forth like that.

Not sure if this happens to a lot of people or just me but it's pretty weird. And from my experience in the private messages they usually start to randomly talk about sexual stuff, which I don't personally appreciate because I don't wanna participate in a random person's fetish/kink.

A lot of people prefer privacy re answers or questions and forgot there is an option to be anonymous when posting, others just enjoy having a chance to talk privately to people. But there are also those who want to message for more explicit reasons.

I try to block people as soon as possible when they bring up explicit material. Though it's worse when they act sane and like they wanna have a regular conversation for like an hour, and THEN come with the sexual stuff, meaning I fell into their bait. 💀

Looking at your replies, sounds like you already have your answer. They want sexual stuff. My experience is dependent on how they want to private message. Phone number, email, etc. = scam. Social media = they just want more followers

Men pretending to be women are super easy to spot actually once they start to talk non-stop about their boobs and non-stop talk about sex in general.
