Do you give the best advice you believe to be true?

So i believe i can give great advice on a numbers of topics even though I dont follow my own advice, and I make poor decisions and even when I know it's not a good choice. I only give advice though on things similar to what I've experienced... I just wondered if anybody else felt like they make all the wrong decisions for themselves but are actually good at giving others what they feel is the best advice? LoL kind of a dumb question

I don't give advice. I try to give another person several options and solutions which work in their favor and could work in my opinion but final choice belong to them. I don't want take any responsibility and I don't want appear as too manipulative.
Even in work where I have the competency to say someone to threat their teeth in a specific way, I always try to sell them my opinion like it's in their favor and never do that like lot of my colleagues "Buy Eludril or PerioMed because your moth stinks". Especially as dentist you earn enough so you don't need alms from pharma industry.

There are times I give advice on topics I have no experience with, but my actions always align with whatever my latest advice would be.

I try to give people different ways to to look at a problem to get them out of tunnel vision. I certainly try to give the best advice.

More recently I apply my advice to myself though I didn't always in the past.

One of the keys to that is to not make any decisions when emotional aspects are strong.

It's easier to help someone fix their issues than to fix our own. Speaking from my own personal experiences
