Yes! With all the cameras all over the place and the tech we now have? Someone can drive by your house and see and hear everything you're doing right through the walls!! Your t. v. has a camera (the flat screen kind do), your computer screen, they can even make a camera the size of a dot on the letter "i". From what I've heard, Kraft has been doing this for decades on their boxes of Philly Cream Cheese so they can find out what else you eat and send you ads for similar things they make.

Ah yes the joys of targeted advertising

It’s not a spooky hunch it’s a well documented fact

Every website you ever clicked on has asked you to accept their “cookies”

They weren’t offering you a snack.
You agreed to let them sell the information they have about you
For instance: “sage just looked at gardening equipment” or “sage is browsing for w washing machine” and so on

All this data is used to form of a profile on you.
They know your age, your address, your ethnicity, your hobbies, your interests, your work, your health status…

So now when an ad software is choosing what ad to show you they will select what they assume you’re interested in.

That’s why it feels like someone is always watching. (Because they are)

Yes and that someone is the state. They know all about you and some quick math tells them a whole bunch of things about you.

Sad that when you reach a certain age, targeted ads corresponding to your age and to what may come up in the next few years seems to be the only ones coming your way.

It would be nice if those ads would say

"Enjoy your life and take yourself on a well deserved holiday. How about if we help you finance it and sponsor $2,000 towards the vacation of your lifetime".

Nobody has ever come up with that kind of idea yet...

Your a target for a certain market. You're up there... I'm in my 40's and I just pretend I'm a teen boy so that they ignore me. I get calls for college even though I have multiple degrees and don't give a flying fuck about learning shit.

Your smart phone probably has some marketing AI programs, they watch over all of your online activities, that's one of minor reasons why I don't like smart phones, but marketing is not such a big problem, some people are - people who don't respect other people's privacy.
