Has an animal ever saved your life or protected you from danger?

I've had 3 times where animals have saved me.

1st instance was when I was 7. I had a neighbor with a German Shepherd. I would feed her and pet her through the fence. One day 3 older boys decided to mess with me. Not typical shoving around. They had sticks and baseball bats. This dog jumped her fence, tore them up until they ran and then escorted me to my house. She then jumped back in her own yard. Everyday after that she would jump her fence and walk with me, then go back to her yard. She did that until the time we moved away.

2nd one was my cat, Tabby. Normally, when she wasn't doing one of her patrols of the apartment, she was laying right next to me. This time, though, she was not letting me sleep. Anytime I tried to lay down, she was smacking at my head. After the 3rd time, I finally got up and followed her. She led me to the kitchen. I noticed a weird spark behind the stove and called the fire department. Apparently there was grease behind the stove that was close to catching fire.

Final time was when I was going for a walk. I was about to enter the woods like I usually do. A stray dog came up and let me pet him. However, anytime I tried to enter the woods, he would get in front of me, bark and push his snout into my stomach until I backed up. After about 10 minutes of this, he turned his back to me and started growling menacingly towards the woods. A strange man came into sight and had this creepy grin. He was holding a knife. I pointed my gun at him and he ran, laughing like a psycho the whole way.
