Would you risk your life to save your dog/cat/animal?

I definitely would. I love my crazy dog so damn much. But my Mom thinks it’s the weirdest thing that I’d risk my life to save hers. (Which I’ve done already). So I’m just curious what you guys think. I feel like most people are gonna agree with my Mom. But just looking for my other crazy dog people on here!

In 2017, I went into our basement to grab my friend's pet bunny, even though it was on fire and I could hardly breathe or see. I had to feel my way around the walls to get back upstairs and I nearly passed out on our front porch from the smoke.

If it were my dog? Hell yeah I'd save him. Or die trying.

Depends on the risk level but in most situation I wouldn't hesitate. They are worth a great deal to me. I'v had Fidget (chinchilla) for 11 years & Waffles (corgi) since he was 6 weeks old, he's 8 months now.

Yes i would save a dogs life.. My cockspaniel was
age 12 when she was sucking on a dog bone and
it was close to the electrical cord well poor doggie
started crying i pulled the lamp and broke it to get
the cord out of the wall cause my dog was getting
electrocuted but i saved her life and she lived to
cancer took her March 31, 2016 .

I think a human life is a lot more valuable so no I would not, like run into a burning house to save a dog. Too many people die doing this and the dog usually dies anyways so what is the point? You can always get another dog, but your family cannot get another you.

Depends on the situation. I'm capable of compartmentalizing well enough that I'd be able to resist throwing my life away even if it meant leaving my dog to die. But if there was a solid chance that we'd both make it, I'd take the risk no hesitation.
