If you were in a situation where you had to save yourself or your pet, what would you choose?

I never love anything more than myself. And if i save my pet then i die, who would feed my pet and taking care of it, we both would die right?
So that kinda unnecessary.

I have a "pet". My biological mom originally got him, but at some point she couldn't take care of him, so he lived with my biological Dad. Problem is he was't fond of him, so I eventually "adopted" him. He is like a little brother/son/friend to me.

I would save him. But, my main concern would be whether or not he could survive without me because he is do dependent on me...
