I wouldn't risk my life for any animal. My husband on the other hand, has every single pet of his in a fire escape plan. I been trying to be nice about convincing him to cut them out—u just can't risk 5+ minutes for animals in a fire, even if firefighters may not care or be able to save them. But I know the only way I could overrule him in an actual fire would be to kill the pets fast so he can't take time to save them, and I'm not fucking doing that either. So. That's a back burner issue rn n I'm hoping we just don't ever have a serious fire...

I would risk getting hurt to save a dog or cat but I wouldn't risk my life.

For example, while walking my dog, she cut in front of me and stopped suddenly. Rather than fall on top of her (and crush her), I rolled over the top of her and hurt my shoulder and wrist as I landed.

I have three nieces, and two of them are dogs. They would risk their lives to save me, so I can't imagine not opening a can of Whoop Ass to return the favor.
