If you had to take a guess at how old you're going to die, what would be the age?

I think since my grandmother is 76 going on 77 this year, I could possibly live till then maybe longer.

I don't have any health issues besides the mental illness that could lead to dementia which is why I say around 77-78 if I get dementia but hopefully I don't and I can live longer than that.

Personally i really don't know how much i'll live because i have diabetes type 2 but my blood sugar is under control, plus i have hypertension but i'm managing it with a daily blood pressure pill...

Anyways the worst that i can right now if FTD, in my brain MRI from like 3 months ago, they found out that i have a minimal to mild cortical atrophy in my both anterior temporal lobes, this means that it can be an early sign of FTD but since i have no clinical symptoms at all and my cognitives are very good than it's highly unlikely to be caused by FTD, but i'll have to wait a year to undergo another brain MRI to see if the atrophy is progressive, slow or fast or it might be still 🤷🏻‍♂️

FTD patients lives between 7 to 13 years or at max 20 it depends...

If my situation remains like this than i'll live maybe till 80 or 90 since both my grandmothers were 90 qnd 90+ plus my grandfather was 90, my mother is 70 now and she's good!

Virtually anyone in reasonable health , the correct weight , throw in exercise will make at least 80 plus with a half decent diet , amusing outside of control accidents etc.

We have incredible longevity in our family blood if no accidents , my mother died young ( 74 ) but she had type 2 diabetes, very dangerous condition if you want longevity.

Longevity does not have to be associated with living poorly , my uncle made 97 ( was the correct weight ) walked everyday , and was great till 96 .5 ..

If I had avoid accidents , I think I can go very deep , good cardio , build muscle , great diet , correct weight , taking ZERO script medicine , and still finishing two half's a year , walking , swimming , serotonin..

So if all keeps going , avoid accidents , I'd think I could potentially go 100plus , my brother is 81 , rides bikes , but what will kill him. is weight ( big killer ) , script medicine, showing signs of dementia already..
That's what I base it on..

My great grandmother died with 91, my grandmother with 86, my mother with 42... I don't think there is a rule for something like that, it's just luck. Well, my mother looked a little bit deep into glass last 10 years of her life and probably removed kilograms of amalgamate fillings what made her exposed to mercury vapors. But damn... 42.

I have no idea really…my maternal granny is 97. My paternal grandmother died at 70…  I honestly don’t want to live to 97 if I’m gonna be dealing with dementia and not in my right mind.

Well I really don't have a clue and I'm not even going to take a guess because once I do there's always something in the air that wants to make me wrong LOL so I dare not even think about it and if you think that's what's going to happen to you then either stop because you by thinking about it can make it happen

And if you really believe that then you should take Percussions to change that Because I know one of these days If you keep calling bad things on you they will happen And they will happen if the wrong time because it will happen the day that you meet somebody That you totally fell in love with and you want to spend your life with So stop Please

My mom's side of the family tends to make it into their 90's or past 100. And that's with horrible eating habits, smoking, and drinking. Basically cockroaches that can't be killed, LOL.

My dad's side of the family tend to make it to mid to late 80's. With historically similar eating habits but no smoking or drinking.

Zero major disease trends on either side of the family. Heart, liver, kidneys, brain. No cancer.

Zero of them were ever in my shape physically or mentally at my age. So I'm thinking I'm looking at mid 90's in all likelihood.

It's hard to say. My grandfathers died at 74 and 80. My grandmothers died at 77 and 87, and each just a few weeks shy of their birthdays.

As for me? I think I'm basically at my halfway point. I don't expect to live much past my mid 70s. I work out regularly, I'm not as anxious or stressed as I used to be, and I have an active faith and prayer life. But I'm also not exactly the healthiest eater in the world (not to mention what's been put into our food and stuff). So I really don't know.

Not that I need to know the details of your mental health issues, but has a doctor told you that your issues can possibly lead to dementia later on in life? Just curious because I know a lady who had some sort of mental thing going and she came down with dementia around the age of 70.

Anyway I certainly hope you can live a long life and without dementia!

My mother lived until she was 82, but she had Alzheimers and pneumonia. My father died at 67, he was not healthy and drank a lot. I try to eat healthy, and I have no issues except for past asthma and high cholesterol for which I am being treated. If I have no accidents, no freak mishaps, I think I can live until at least 90 or more.

I think I'll make it to 100. But I'd like to live till 105 so I can say I lived in the 1900's, the 20's and died in the 21's

I think medical technology will have to save me around 90 though lol.

I don't know, I'm by far the healthiest member of my living family yet I live probably the unhealthiest lifestyle out of everyone besides how active I am.

But honestly no body knows when their gonna die or when their numbers up cos thats not for us to determine, thats nature, thats a higher being that has final say, whether it's god or not, when your times up, your times up, you just go into the next phase of existance.

4 years ago I was surprised to hear the Doctor say 18 months left. That is what I had left unless I had an operation due to an infection that created damage.

$400,000 bill later (paid by insurance) and I was fine but I see it could reduce my lifespan somewhat based on others with this issue although the my doctors don’t seem to think so.

So I am shooting for an average lifespan right now.

Two of my grand grandmothers died in their 90s (93 and 95)...

My maternal grand grand grandmother lived up to 97...

But my grandmothers both died in their late 70s... so it's probably somewhere in between.

Unless something else happens. I really don't want to live that long... though, who knows, things might change for the best eventually, time will tell.
